I’m a wife and mother. I stay at home and manage our small homestead and homeschool our child. I also do some freelance digital design work when time permits.
How did you hear about the keto diet?
Browsing the Internet and then further research on the lifestyle.
Why did you decide to try the keto diet?
I was tired of carrying extra weight. I was ready to take “ME” back.
What other diets have you tried? How does keto compare?
Many different fad diets, but none were sustainable. Keto has been, by far, the easiest for me to stick to because I don’t feel deprived. My energy level is up and my skin looks better, which are wonderful, unexpected results, in addition to weight loss.
What was the most challenging aspect(s) of the keto diet?
Charlie Horses in my legs and feet in the middle of the night!
How did you overcome your top challenge(s)?
I increased electrolytes by drinking BHB.
Why did you decide to participate in THE KETO 30 Challenge?
I was open to the help and I felt it assisted in my accountability.
How did you feel while doing THE KETO 30?
Good! Once I began seeing results, I felt even better!
What was your favorite part about THE KETO 30?
I don’t feel deprived AND I’m losing the weight that harms my self-esteem. In just 30 days, I lost 10 pounds, but it looks like I lost more because I also shaved 2″ off my waist and 2″ off my hips! I was told not to gauge progress by only looking at the scale and that was great advice – You can lose inches without losing weight!
What was your least favorite part? Charlie Horses!
What’s your favorite KetoLogic MRP flavor?
I have only tried chocolate so far and it was good. It didn’t have a weird aftertaste like some meal replacement shakes can have. It’s awesome to have this as an option when you need something quick. I didn’t always have time to prepare a meal, and this was PERFECT. I preferred drinking this at lunch or for my dinner! I often paired it with unsweetened almond or cashew milk and it kept my cravings down! To try something different, I added this to my coffee to make a bit of a mocha-like shake which tastes rich and kept me full for a long time. I didn’t experience jittery energy from the shake but really benefited from its sustainability.
What’s your favorite KetoLogic BHB flavor?
I love the Patriot Pop flavor. It tastes like you are having a sweet treat without the sweets! I found that many people recommended this for bursts of energy but I found it HIGHLY BENEFICIAL before bed to help with my nighttime ‘Charlie Horses.’ Most people on Keto experience those dreaded cramps at some point and I was consistently waking up in the middle of the night because of them. THIS DRINK STOPPED THEM! This benefit alone makes it a gem! I can’t wait to try the other flavors.
What advice would you give to someone considering the keto diet and/or THE KETO 30?
Use an app, such as Carb Manager, to help you track your carbs/fat/protein! This will help you get used to it and keep within your limits. Don’t be afraid of fat! Consuming good fats helps you stay full and provide your body with what it needs.
Any other final thoughts you’d like to share?
I’m really happy to have had the opportunity to participate in the challenge! It really kept me accountable and find my footing. I have continued with the keto lifestyle upon completion of the challenge and plan to continue doing so.
